Ordered from here a few times and always lovely, not greasy at all and love the fact the sausage choice is square or jumbo. Today was a little cheeky and they delivered x 2. Merry Christmas and thank you from us.
First time there. I asked for two egg and bacon sandwiches with runny eggs and crispy bacon. Eggs were not at all runny, but the bacon was nice and crispy and good tasty. Came wrapped in aluminium foil. Had to wait a little while because of a queue of 4 people in front of me. The cost for the 2 sandwiches was £10.00. The place was very clean. I think the youngsters serving will go a long way.
Tasty well prepared food. Varied selection. This is NOT a 'greasy spoon' style cafe. Staff are helpful and friendly. As with anything you only find out how good customer relations are when there has been a problem. I had not noticed that my food was missing a single ingredient. The chef (not cook - the food was too good) came out apologised and refunded the difference. Goes to show not all car park cafés are the same. I would recommend to anyone. May even bring my Mum (she is super fussy 🙂)
Vegetarian options: Selection is good. Pasta dishes, omelette etc. I would recommend the Asparagus and spinach omelette. No vegan dishes
A good honest (non) greasy spoon cafe. Some unusual items on the menu like Scottish style square sausage.
Parking: It’s in Wicke’s car park, which never gets full.
Great staff, so friendly. The food is amazing. I had a the beast burger (think it was called that) ill defo be going beack for another. Highly reccomend this place
My dad ordered me some morale food a so was having a bad day, absolutely delicious and gone in five mins! 😍
Ordered twice now and both times, the meal has been on time, hot and delicious
Having dropped my car at the garage early in the morning, I was delighted to get the gorgeous waft of breakfast from Cafe Max, the menu is extensive and they were happy to cater to my request. The food was lovely and well cooked. Staff are lovely and friendly. The area is comfortable and clean. We will be back.
Visited Wickes and spotted this large caravan - in need of breakfast so decided to give it a try. Came to rain and opted to eat on site. Chose regular breakfast with toast, black pudding and the jumbo sausage. Cooked to order and was presented over the counter on plate with paper napkin and proper cutlery. Black pud worthy of praise. Friendly team of about six behind the very high counter and they were coping well with a number of delivery orders for which the drivers were waiting - rather clogging up the eating area! Food piping hot and plentiful. Fried egg - white over cooked and yolk a little under (but better runny than not, however). Weak point was toast - barely toasted white sliced with something "buttery" spread on it. Would skip that next time. Plenty of choice on the menu. Mine was £6 which on reflection seemed about £1 too much for a cafe when no tea or coffee taken. Overall pretty good and would re-visit if back at DIY in Winterhill area.
